Deliver Financial Results

  • Meet or exceed the following Store goals:

Monthly Gross Profit goals

Monthly Apple Computer Unit goals

Monthly AT&T Mobility Unit goals

Yearly Apple Service Metrics - Premium Service Provider

Payroll as a Percentage of Gross Profit

  • Utilize Simply Mac reporting to accurately coach and train team to exceed individual and store goal expectations.
  • Deliver operational excellence within the store by completing required inventory counts, cash deposits, and embracing a culture around shrink deterrence.

Enhance the Customer Experience

  • Maintain an NPS score that is indicative of a transformational customer experience.
  • Instill a culture where every employee utilizes the Sales Process to provide our customers with the best possible experience.
  • Ensure we have the most knowledgeable employees around our products and services in the industry by having all employees complete required training courses.
  • Ensure that required certifications are maintained in order to provide our customers with the best service possible.

Develop Employee Engagement

  • Perform required monthly employee evaluations to provide team members with planned and purposeful developmental objectives.
  • Embrace a philosophy of constantly developing the next level of top talent within your store.

  • Encourage a culture around open and honest feedback amongst the team that designed to improve the store, company, and customer experience.
  • Model the behaviors expected of all GameStop associates including a drive for results with a clear bias for action; high levels of maturity and professionalism; giving, receiving and responding to feedback effectively; a high service orientation; and clear commitments to diversity, inclusion, a respectful workplace, and integrity
  • Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
  • Model team commitment by meeting deadlines; and by being cooperative, collaborative, and flexible
  • Drive outstanding business results through traditional management functions including sourcing and selecting talent, coaching and development, workforce and project scheduling, performance assessment, and general talent planning
  • Meet or Exceed Sales Goals:
  • 45+ hours a week with availability to work retail hours.
  • Track daily and month-to-date Revenue and GP subsidies of the store and every employee within the store; performance board must be updated daily by 10am
  • Maintain daily communication with the Retail Sales Manager
  • Conduct daily one on ones  with subordinates
  • Execute the Store Routine thoroughly
  • Maintain a minimum FTE Goal for personal sales
  • Exceed store performance standard for sales at 100% of plan
  • Monitor and manage employee performance to ensure that each employee  is maximizing their sales potential and obtaining the metrics set within the Powerscore
  • Development of Staff:
  • Lead and develop Sales, Service, Training and Installation Managers to effectively manage and lead their teams to successful fulfillment of the Sales Division’s vision and objectives.
  • Mentor employees in leadership and sales skills through the company’s sales programs– namely the daily one on ones, weekly meetings and monthly employee evaluations.
  • Motivate, educate, and train employees on how to fulfill Simply Mac’s mission statement- namely to exceed customer expectation in friendliness, product knowledge, and salesmanship
  • Conduct monthly performance evaluations of all employees
  • Be fully certified and support all HR, Training, Finance, Marketing, and Operational initiatives
  • Ensure that Simply Mac’s employee philosophy is inherent in all management approaches which is that all subordinates feel that their personal success is paramount in the eyes of their direct supervisor.  This “caring” management attitude must be evident in all management activities
  • Fulfill the Team Development focus of our sales, operations and team development as it pertains to the daily one on ones, weekly meetings and monthly employee evaluations.
  • Accountability for Daily Operational Activities:
  • Ensure that every employee  within the store is doing the opening and closing procedures of the routine to uphold store appearance, cleanliness, merchandise and staffing standards
  • Plan weekly store meetings that address sales, operations and team development.
  • Monitor inventory and shrinkage as required
  • Count serialized items at each store daily
  • Assure the quality experience as per our Mission Statement of our customers
  • Supervise the proper execution of the Store Routine which includes no apathy
  • Assure uniformity and enforcement of the Policies and Procedures
  • Protect the company against fraudulent and harmful activities
  • Verify and deposit cash daily
  • Hire qualified employees  that meet Simply Mac’s standards
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 5 or more years of related experience required
  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree with a related field of study required; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution
  • Apple Certified or ability to become certified with minimal training in:
  • Apple Sales Training Online (ASTO) – Product Professional
  • Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist (ACHDS)
  • Apple Certified Trainer – Pro Products (ACTPP)
  • Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTS)


  • Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Proficient ability to solve functional problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Working knowledge of employee development: talent assessment, competency-based development, motivation and reward
  • Working ability to effectively recruit, hire, coach, train, develop, retain, and redirect others as needed in order to produce a successful team
  • Expert ability to model consistently GameStop’s commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities
  • Apple/Mac and technology industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience
  • Knowledge of markets and industry trends
