Job Description

The Information Security Manager oversees the long term strategic planning and execution of Information
Security best practices across a diverse infrastructure, application, and data architecture. This individual
will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating information security risks which will include
training, ongoing development, coaching, and recruiting team members. Overseeing the triage process
and ensure timely communication and completion of support tickets and maintenance projects. Ability to
research, recommend, and implement risk mitigation strategies that are aligned with business goals and
objectives will be an important element to success in this position. This includes, but is not limited to,
leadership and execution of the following:

 The development and implementation of both vendor and internally built assessments that gauge the overall security health of critical IT Infrastructure hardware and software systems and databases
 The implementation of effective security controls across information systems
 Assessing the effectiveness of the security controls that have been implemented to ensure compliance with expected outcomes
 Help identify, define and document the system security requirements and hardening standards for the infrastructure and application stack.
 Educating and training staff on the latest threats and actions to mitigate potential threats
 Research, recommend, and implement risk mitigation strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives
 Coordinate technical staff across multiple teams in response to Information Security incidents
 Assist in the ongoing development and testing of all IT disaster recovery procedures
 Performs periodic security audits and tests on existing systems and applications to ensure the security architectural framework is maintained
 Tracks warnings of new types of security threats and assures that the systems are in place to guard against those threats

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
 B.S. in Computer Science, related field, or an alternate combination of education/experience which results in equivalent job knowledge
 Minimum of 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience in IT Security, Incident Response, or network security/SOC.
 Advises on best tools, processes, practices and standards to insure effective protection of information security assets
 Manages support, maintenance and subscription renewals for security operations technology
 Demonstrates expertise performing IT Risk & Security assessments and recommending information security solutions to assist businesses with the assessment and improvement of their security infrastructure and applications
 Budget planning and management experience, including vendor management
 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in an ever-changing environment
 Knowledgeable in security technologies, procedures, and best practices to include functions such as Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, File Integrity Monitoring, SIEM, and Vulnerability Scanning
 Experience with PCI and familiarity with industry standard regulations such as SOX and SSAE16

Preferred/Desirable Skills:
 Information Security Certification: PCIP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC etc.
 Industry experience with a retail organization
 Knowledge of Security Frameworks; NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS
