SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Instructional Designer affects the success of nearly all talent development initiatives throughout the organization. The role focuses on classroom, online and video-based training support will support Web-based learning as organizational technology permits, and it includes providing logistical support for a variety of development initiatives. The highly creative role includes videography, including editing and production; web-based instructional design; and design and logistics support for document-based development resources. The position includes leveraging productive relationships with internal customers and senior leaders throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Produce, design, and edit learning- this includes, but is not limited to, script development from concept to production, site and talent section, video blocking, filming, editing, and post-production deployment

• Assist as needed in the design and development of interactive e-learning applications, including Web-based learning and learning management system (LMS) design and support

• Assist in the development, assembly, and distribution or training resources, including participant guides, facilitator guides, and job aides

• Provide technology and logistical support for Retail Support Center and field-based meetings and conferences

• Interact cross-functionally throughout the organization to support organizational consistency

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field required

• 2 years’ experience developing and delivering training solutions in a corporate environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Strong history of executing the vision of senior management

• Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communications, writing, presentation, and influencing skills

• Enthusiasm, a strong drive to succeed and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles

• Demonstrable expertise developing a wide range of training solutions, including self-paced online courses, videos, webinars, instructor-led training, and mobile learning (Work samples/portfolio required upon application)

• Proficiency using eLearning development tools, such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Audio/Video editing tools, and MSW Office applications

• Proficiency using Learning Management Systems is preferred

• Ability to interact professionally with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders within all levels of the organization

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (A writing example, such as a script, and fully functional example of an online course you have developed will be required in the interview process

• Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage projects, timelines, etc.
